Luang Phor Gui
Luang Phor Kuay Wat Kositaram
Luang Phor Guay was born on November 2nd, 2448 BE (Buddhist Era).
He was born in a small village called Bankae in Chainat province.
The master's father's name was Tui Punson.
His mother's name was Tuan Dechma. The master had three younger brothers and one younger sister.
The master is the eldest son in the family.
The master's parents loved him very much.
When the master was six years old
His parents sent him to Wat Bankae to study Buddhism and its teachings with Luang Phor Khu.
Because the master was exceptionally intelligent
In addition to having a photographic memory, those who have learned the methods can also use magic.
Luang Phor Khu could foresee that Luang Phor Guay would become a very famous monk in the future.
After the passing of Luang Phor Khu, the master of the Dharma,
Luang Phor Guay then went to Wat Huaden to learn other methods from Ajarn Du.
Luang Phor Guay attended primary school.
But he dropped out of school after two years.
Because I need to go back to the countryside to help my parents with their agriculture.
Luang Phor Guay told his parents that if they wanted him to become a monk,
He will definitely not return to secular life.
July 5th, 2467 Buddhist Era
When Luang Phor Guay was 20 years old, he became a monk at Wat Bost.
The ordination ceremony was conducted by the preceptors at the time, Luang Phor Phra and Ajarn Ling.
The master was given the monastic name Chutinataro.
This Dharma name has a very good meaning.
This means that the world is full of emotions and desires, such as greed and avarice.
If he hopes to achieve enlightenment...
He must let go of all his emotions and desires.
On June 1, 2477 in the Buddhist calendar,
By chance, Luang Phor Guay found an ancient sacred book named Kru Rang.
It is said that when the master was studying more advanced teachings at Wat Nongkam,
A monk named Jam told the master that he had discovered...
A sacred book was hidden inside a hollow of a withered tree.
But the monk couldn't get the sacred book because the tree spirit was protecting it.
So the monk led Luang Phor Gui to the tree.
The master lit three candles under the tree.
Then say to the spirit in the tree:
If you want me to have that holy book
Please burn all three candles.
But the candle flame doesn't go out once it's burned out.
The master lit three new candles and spoke to the tree spirit once more:
If you want me to have that holy book afterward...
If you help the temple and the people,
Please burn all three candles.
After Luang Phor Guay finished saying this...
The three candles burned out quickly.
Master Luang Phor Guay carefully took the sacred book out of the tree hollow.
Then I opened the holy book and looked at it.
The first page states that this holy book is not something ordinary people can open and read.
It can only be possessed by a highly accomplished monk who uses it to help people or do good deeds.
If an ordinary person were to open the holy book, they would suffer terrible consequences.
Luang Phor Guay discovered that the sacred texts contained not only many ancient teachings, but also...
You can also call upon the Earth Goddess (Mae Thoroni) for help in warding off disasters and difficulties.
After the master learned all the methods in the holy book,
And a copy of the Holy Book was made.
Then they were collected in these temples.
Wat Tatong, Subhanpuri Province, where Ajarn Dao keeps his collection.
Wat Nong I Duke, Chaina Province, a collection of King Ajarn Sa.
Wat Kositaram, Chaina Province, is a collection of Luang Phor Guay.
Besides learning those methods from that sacred book, what else did Luang Phor Guay learn?
The master also studied many different Dharma methods under several enlightened monks.
For example, LP Puang-Wat Nong Kradone,
LP Kant-Wat Khao Kaew
LP Derm-Wat Nong Pho taught LP Gui how to make mimo knives and takrut, and LP Ken-Wat Dongsetti taught LP Gui the medical skills to repair broken bones.
LP Pum Pum-Wat Nongtangoo, a close friend of LP Gui, once said...
Luang Phor Guay was a truly enlightened monk.
I am never afraid of hard work to learn more advanced methods.
Luang Phor Guay was also a highly respected monk.
The master's words will all come true.
In Buddhist Era 2484
After Luang Phor Guay returned to Wat Bang Kyi (the old name of Wat Khoshidala),
A grand ceremony was held to tattoo the villagers.
The villagers believed that as long as they got a tattoo from the master,
In addition to receiving the blessings and protection of Luang Phor Guay,
It can also make you invulnerable to swords and bullets and provide protection.
In that era before information was readily available,
44,000 people came to Luang Phor Kwee for tattoos.
One can imagine that the master's cultivation had reached an unfathomable level.
After that tattoo extravaganza,
Luang Phor Guay then began making amulets.
Sacred objects such as mimo knives and takruts are given to believers to wear.
Besides earning the respect of devotees, the master's amulets and sacred objects also...
People from other provinces and bandits alike were filled with admiration for the master's spiritual cultivation.
Whenever robbers passed by the entrance of Luang Phor Guay's temple,
They would all fire a shot into the sky as a sign of respect for the master.
On September 1st, 2491 Buddhist Era,
Luang Phor Guay has officially taken over as the new abbot of Wat Bang Kyi.
The books in the temple record that in 2484 BE (during World War II), Luang Phor Guay made many amulets and sacred objects and gave them to the people at that time.
To protect them from danger and harm from knives, guns, and bombs.
