[ Introduction to Luang Pho Thim ( Side Head Thim )]
Buddhist Era 2422-2518 ( 1879-1975 )
temple- Wat La Han Lai วัดระ หาร ไร่
In Thailand today, when it comes to the most efficacious Khun Paen amulets, Luang Phor Tim is undoubtedly number one. Aside from Watt Bam Krang, which possesses antique value, Luang Phor Tim's Khun Paen amulets are among the most sought-after and highly prized amulets.
Luang Phor Tim was born in 2422 BE (Buddhist Era). Due to his family's poverty, he began to defecate at a very young age. He helped out in the fields and didn't have the opportunity to go to school. However, since Luang Phor Tim's home was very close to the temple, he went to the temple every day to listen to Buddhist teachings and gradually developed a strong interest in Buddhism.
In 2439 BE (Buddhist Era), when he was 17 years old, Luang Phor Tim was sent by his father to Wat Rai Wai to study Buddhism under the then abbot, Luang Phor Sing. Luang Phor Tim stayed in Wat Rai Wai for a year. During that year, he studied with Luang Phor Sing... The master learned a lot about Buddhist principles and meditation techniques. A year later, due to a family crisis, he left Wai Huali and returned home to find work to support his parents.
On June 7th , 2449 BE (Buddhist Era) , when Luang Phor Tim was 27 years old, he was formally ordained as a yellow-robed monk, and was tonsured by the renowned Phra Khun Chho Han Khuk Khoon from the Rayong region. Three months later, Luang Phor Tim performed the Sivali ritual. During his pilgrimage, Luang Phor Tim encountered a white-robed ascetic named Kaji Azen in the forest. He followed Kaji Azen to learn the white-robed Dharma, which further elevated his spiritual practice. Two years later, Luang Phor Tim continued his Sivali practice and came to the then-famous Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, where he studied Buddhism under Luang Phor Song Tao, a distant relative of Luang Phor Tim. Luang Phor Song Tao was one of the most renowned monks of the time. Legend has it that once, when Luang Phor Song Tao was performing a blessing ceremony for a group of believers at Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, halfway through the recitation, he suddenly felt phlegm stuck in his throat. He forcefully spat this phlegm onto the cement ground. As soon as the phlegm fell, a hole immediately appeared in the ground, and everyone present... A devout follower was stunned, and the story quickly became a popular tale. Luang Phor Tim stayed at Wat Chaeng for a year and received the true teachings of Luang Phor Song Tao.
A year later, Luang Phor Tim returned to Yap Lahan Lai to continue spreading Buddhism to the local people . In 2478 BE, due to his profound understanding of Buddhist teachings, Luang Phor Tim was bestowed the title of Pakku by the Supreme Patriarch. On December 5, 2517 BE , Luang Phor Tim was again appointed by the Supreme Patriarch as the most authoritative monk in the Rayong region , in charge of all the temples in the region.
Luang Phor Tim rarely suffered from illness throughout his life, and he also had a peculiar habit: he ate a vegetarian meal every morning, drank water at 1 pm, then tea at 4 pm, and after 4 pm ... He didn't eat anything ( including tea), and Luang Phor Tim was a vegetarian who remained so from 2468 BE until his death.
His lifestyle remained unchanged for 50 years. Luang Phor Tim personally crafted many amulets, and many who wore them received his blessings. Life will be better. Among these many amulets, the most famous is the Pak Khun Phan Pai Kuman.
Because everyone who has worn this amulet has felt its miraculous power, it commands a very high price in Thailand. The master repeatedly reminded devotees to preserve this amulet carefully during its creation, as it is an exceptionally rare and precious piece. This Phra Khun Paen Kuman is considered the best Khun Paen amulet in Thailand. It was created by Luang Phor Thanh according to ancient methods, methods that were originally only possessed by Luang Phor Thanh and Luang Phor Tim for consecration, highlighting the unique nature of this method!
The " Phra Khun Paen Pai Kuman " is considered miraculous because it contains the ashes of a child's skull. The master mixed the skull powder with various mysterious powders and 108 special herbs . After receiving the skull, Luang Phor Tim used a special method to bless it continuously for seven days and seven nights. After the blessing, the master instructed his disciple: " Break this skull into pieces and grind it into ashes. " Miraculously, sparks appeared with each strike of the skull, adding another layer of mystery to this magical amulet! The master was extremely careful in creating this amulet. After a grand consecration, he personally blessed each amulet carefully. This particular Khun Paen amulet is specially named " Phra Khun Paen Pai Kuman . "
