On Thai Buddhist holidays, let's all do good deeds, accumulate merit, and donate shrouds!

Do you know what donating a shroud means?

Many people only know to donate coffins, but not shrouds.

This merit is equivalent to the merit of donating a coffin.

To put it dramatically,

It's even more meritorious than donating a coffin!

Donate shroud Accumulate merits and blessings to resolve karmic debts.

Because without this "shroud,"

The deceased also cannot be placed in a coffin.

Every time I go to the scene of death,

The first thing you must do is take this [shroud] with you.

The deceased's body must be properly wrapped before it can be placed in the coffin!

Many people are unaware of the Shroud of Turin.

The true meaning of merit is extremely profound.

The Shroud of Turin Explains the Karma of Three Lifetimes :

1⃣️ This helps to resolve the karmic debts and negative consequences from past lives!

2⃣️ Forgiveness for the evil thoughts and actions created by words and deeds in this life!

And bring blessings to your ancestors, parents, and yourself!

3⃣️ Accumulate good karma for future lives, so that you may be free from suffering and attain happiness!

"One good deed can ward off three disasters"  "Being free from disaster is good luck."

I really feel that my luck has been consistently bad.

Every relationship has its obstacles .

It is suggested that everyone do more good deeds to accumulate blessings for themselves , and then everything will go smoothly and as desired .

I hope everyone can do good deeds together.

Donate to the deceased in need

Do more good deeds and accumulate blessings

Good fortune will naturally come.

In fact, the same applies to marriage, love, work, and career.

Finding the right direction will surely lead to a lifetime of happiness.

Before each deceased person is placed in their coffin , they are wrapped in a white cloth ; otherwise, the coffin cannot be placed inside . In cases of car accidents , unjust deaths, or deaths without relatives , the shroud is immediately used . This is very important for the deceased's life and is considered a great act of merit . The deceased receives great help and gratitude, which motivates donors to help them achieve their wishes.

Doing good deeds is like eating; you can't be full for days after just one bowl of rice. It's also like money in a bank account—it grows bigger over time. Doing good deeds should come from a sincere heart, not as a transaction. Just do your best, and gradually you'll feel the effects and find your life becoming smoother!

📝 Poh Teck Tung Foundation มูลนิธิป่อเต็กตึ๊ง Introduction

Thailand has a large number of Chinese descendants, most of whom migrated to Southeast Asia from the southeastern coast during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Many Chinese came alone and lived in poverty, often passing away without descendants to arrange their funerals.

In 1910 , Zheng Zhiyong (also known as Erge Feng), a prominent overseas Chinese leader in Thailand , and 12 other Chinese who had successfully established themselves in Bangkok, initiated the construction of the Dafeng Ancestral Temple, establishing the Baode Hall, based on the belief that "what is taken from society should be used for society." Their aim was to help the poor and vulnerable and to provide a proper burial for unclaimed corpses.

They then combined the worship of Master Dafeng with charitable work, thus forming the legitimate private charitable organization "Overseas Chinese Good Deeds Hall".

This temple serves not only as a religious center for the public but also as a means of helping the poor. Worshippers can donate money not only for incense and oil but also for coffins to the needy!

Thais do not have any taboos about shrouds, and donors are not necessarily wealthy people; many people have a habit of donating money to temples.

In Thailand and in the Chaoshan culture of China, donating coffins and shrouds to help people be buried peacefully is considered a great act of merit.

Therefore, many Thai people, Chinese, and Hong Kong residents come to pay their respects and donate coffins. Media outlets from Singapore also specifically requested AK's assistance in reporting on this "shining light of the Chinese community."
