[Introduction to Luang Phor Thuad]
Luang Pu Thuat (หลวงปู่ทวด) was a revered Thai monk, an Arhat, who lived 400 years ago. He was a household name in Thailand and was known as the National Preceptor. He lived to the age of 99. It is said that he could turn seawater into fresh water by stepping on it.
In Thailand, Luang Phor Thuad is a household name. Even now, there are frequent reports of people seeing him in their dreams, receiving his guidance and turning misfortune into good fortune. For Thais, Luang Phor Thuad is not only a protector of life but also a moral guide. Statues, portraits, bronze images, amulets, and various events featuring Luang Phor Thuad are ubiquitous in Thailand. His miraculous deeds are still widely recounted. It is said that statistics from the Phra Phuttha Medical Centre's emergency medical services show that none of those who died in traffic accidents were ever found wearing Luang Phor Thuad amulets. Therefore, Luang Phor Thuad is known as the "God of Cars."
Many temples in Thailand make Luang Phor Thuad amulets , with the most famous being those made in southern Thailand, from Wat Hue Mongkol in Hua Hin to Wat Soi Chaeng . These Luang Phor Thuad amulets are particularly sought after . A miraculous accident shocked the world. During a training exercise by the Thai Air Force , a helicopter crashed while on duty , resulting in a malfunction . Such helicopter crashes are known to be major accidents. The chances of crew members dying are extremely high, but thankfully , all the crew members survived . In Thailand , a predominantly Buddhist country , this is a legendary incident. All the crew members wore Luang Phor Thuad amulets, and each crew member 's act of abandoning the aircraft was awarded the highest honor by the Royal Family .
