[Introduction to Gu Babing]
Kruba Bang ครูบาแบ่ง วัดโตนด was born on August 15, 1953 , which is the fifth day of the ninth lunar month in the Year of the Snake, in Tanod sub-district , Non Sung district, Nakhon Ratchasima province . Tanod village , originally named Sema Jum Klang , had seven brothers, including the son of Mak Jum Klang and his wife Ong Jum Klang. sisters. The family practices traditional medicine, a tradition passed down from their ancestors to Master Baba Bing.
Kuba Bing graduated from Wat Ban Tanot School at the age of 12 , and then he began to study traditional medicine, using various cupping remedies and herbs to treat diseases. He had the opportunity to study, read, and write Khmer script based on ancient texts. He devoted himself to learning ancient medicine and scriptures from his father, and by the age of 14 , Cuba Bing was able to treat the villagers. After only two years of study, he was able to treat the illnesses of people in his hometown, and his medical skills were so superb that the locals nicknamed him "Little Doctor."
Approaching youth, Kruba Bing encountered a man who was taller than ordinary people. This extraordinary man was named Kruba Siharat , a high-ranking monk who was said to have traveled from Laos to Thailand to spread Buddhism. After learning about this, Kruba Bing went to study under Kruba Siharat and learned from and assisted the high-ranking monk. He also followed his master in his practice and traveled all the way to Laos. Kruba Bing learned many unique secret methods from his master. After completing his studies, Kruba Bing traveled alone from Laos back to Thailand and became a monk there.
After turning 25 in 2521 BE, Kruba Bing was formally ordained as a monk. After practicing in a Buddhist temple for more than four months, he began to travel abroad to spread the Dharma, once again embarking on a rigorous ascetic journey to Laos. During this period of asceticism, he had the great opportunity to meet his master, the high monk Kruba Sihala, again. This time, Kruba Sihala appeared specifically to fully transmit the highest Dharma and the most secret methods he had attained to Kruba Bing. Strangely enough, after Kruba Sihala fully transmitted the highest level of Dharma to Kruba Bing, he passed away not long after. Therefore, Kruba Bing can be said to be the highest direct disciple of Kruba Sihala in Laos. Afterwards, Kruba Bing continued his ascetic ascetic practice and returned to Thailand. It was during this time that Kruba Bing returned to northeastern Thailand to practice and studied together with the Butterfly King Kruba Krissana. The Butterfly King respected Kruba Bing as his senior brother.
