LP Maha Sila , whose original name was "Sila Nilchan" , was born on October 14 , 1945 , in Thawat Buri District, Roi Et Province . She is the son of Mr. Kaen and Mrs. Noi Nilchan , and her family were farmers.

At Wat That Pratap, he was ordained as a monk by Phra Siriwutmethi at Wat Burapha Phiram Temple in 1966 , when he reached ordination age .

Luang Pu Phra Maha Sila diligently studied Buddhism. He passed the Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral examinations (Nak tham) and the 6th level of the Pali examination. In 1972 , he received the Order of the King Rama IX of Thailand at Wat Phra Kaew and was assigned to Wat Nikomkanaram in Roi Et province as a teacher, responsible for the monks who were always praying in the monastic community's ubosot .

This was because his devotees had witnessed his divine powers, such as the power of stupas, spiritual practice, compassion, solitude, and the ability to foresee the future.

He is a monk who has spent a long time practicing alone in the mountains, indifferent to fame and fortune, compassionate, and living a life of ease with cats and dogs, seeking neither riches nor honor.
