The master was born in Rajchaburi , Bangkok, on December 7, 2448 BE (Buddhist Era) . He was the third of nine siblings, and his family made their living through farming and animal husbandry. Because there was a willow tree in front of his house when he was born, his father named him Liu (meaning "willow"). Even as a child, he was different from other children; he was naturally intelligent and very filial, often helping his parents in the fields and enjoying studying medicine. In his spare time, he would also do cleaning work to supplement the family income.

Once, the master went to a house to clean and tidy up. The weather was very hot that day. He went up to the upper floor of the house hoping to find some water ... At this moment, the owner of the house noticed him and loudly asked him what he was doing. "What are you doing up to the upper floor of my house, you dirty child?" At this moment, Luang Phor felt very helpless, thinking that it seemed that everything was not going well for him since birth, and he was often looked down upon because of poverty ... But in the end, the master left silently without saying a word.

A few days later, the homeowner went to Luang Phor Lew's house to find him. He felt he had been too harsh with him and wanted him to continue taking care of his house. However, the monk, who was only about ten years old at the time, smiled and said to the homeowner: "I am dirty and not suitable to go to your house ..."

Today, Luang Phor Lew's followers are spread throughout Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia . Among them are high-ranking government officials, wealthy people, businessmen, landowners, and the poor. But the master never looks down on anyone. He treats everyone the same, whether rich or poor.

One day when he was 15 , the master discovered that his family's cattle had been stolen (at that time, cattle represented a farmer's life and wealth). He was furious and wanted to find a way to punish the thief. So, when he was about 20 years old, he took two cousins ​​and went to the Thai-Myanmar border region to learn different spells from various masters and shamans to teach the thief a lesson and protect their home. Unfortunately, in the third week in the forest, one of his cousins ​​contracted mosquito bites and died. The other, terrified, went home.

Luang Phor Liao went to Sankaburi alone , and then to Myanmar (because the black magic in Myanmar was the most powerful at the time). By chance, he followed a village chief named Achen Mon to practice magic. After three years of intensive training, he returned home and told his parents about his experiences in the forest during those three years. His mother wept upon hearing the story and urged Luang Phor Liao to let go of his hatred and learn to love and forgive. Moved by his mother's tears, he agreed to let go of his hatred …

When the rainy season arrives in Thailand, the master would help his family graze their cattle. He wouldn't use any tools, simply letting the cattle graze on their own, while using the magic he had practiced in the forest to protect them from theft. At that time, there were three different types of robbers and thieves: the first type robbed everywhere with weapons, the second type practiced magic, and the third type searched for targets to test their attacks. Whenever these three types encountered Luang Phor Le, no matter what methods they used, they could not succeed. They were all stopped by him and defeated by the master. In the end, they all went to the master to ask for his forgiveness, and were moved by his teachings to stop committing evil deeds. They then became his disciples and learned magic from him.

In 2475 BE ( 1932 AD ), when the master was 27 years old, having experienced the ups and downs of life, he began to feel the impermanence and reality of life. Everything was caused by disputes over money. After seeing through this, he became a monk at Wat Both , with LP Photat Philom as his preceptor and the Dharma name 'Phra Leou PhumNakho' . His first teacher was LP Ei . A year later, Luang Phor Leou decided not to disrobe and resigned as abbot of the temple to practice asceticism. The master traveled to Myanmar, visited his mentor Ajahn Mun, and spent two or three years completing his studies before seeking out other high-ranking monks to learn the Dharma.

In 2490 BE, villagers near Wat Rai Taeng Thong invited Luang Phor Liao to become the abbot of the temple. He spent five years constructing the main hall, preaching hall, and shrines, among other things. He was bestowed the title of ' Construction Monk ' . In 2505 BE, the master cast his first amulets. At that time, most villagers wanted to pray for wealth, so the early amulets were mainly wealth-attracting Buddhas.

In 2516 BE (Buddhist Era ), Luang Phor Liao cast his first batch of Wealth Turtle amulets, totaling 2516 pieces. The front and back are inscribed with numerous ancient scriptures he had studied throughout his life. After casting, each amulet underwent independent consecration for over three months. Many devotees witnessed the master placing the amulets in bowls of water and consecrating them until they floated to the surface, while some remained submerged. The master instructed that these should not be acquired or worn. For the next several decades, the master primarily focused on creating amulets featuring this image, eventually becoming renowned throughout Southeast Asia.

When asked why he used a tortoise to create sacred objects, the master explained that the tortoise is a spiritual animal and represents one of Buddha's past lives. He hoped it would bring good fortune to people. The tortoise amulet can protect against 108 different natural disasters, man-made calamities, and accidents (including animal attacks, lightning strikes, dog bites, water accidents, black magic, gossip, car accidents, fire accidents, theft , etc.), and also brings good luck, wealth, and popularity. If someone is involved in legal trouble or other problems, writing their name on a piece of paper, pressing it with the tortoise while chanting will help resolve the issue . The master's amulets are most notably effective in three ways: " Ironclad Wealth " (Thai: extremely wealthy), "Metta" (popularity), and "Kung Kapan" (invulnerability). In 2540 BE , the master returned to his hometown and said: A monk should learn the Dharma from Buddha throughout his life, and at the same time teach and help more people. He lived in a simple place and never used any material things such as air conditioning, television , etc. He was a vegetarian and usually only ate some vegetables and white rice. He liked to eat durian and betel nut.

At 8:35 PM on September 4 , 2543 BE ( Buddhist Era) , the Master completed his final Buddhist Lent (Buddhist retreat) at the age of 95 , having spent 74 years of his life as a monk. During his passing and cremation, devotees who took photos observed waves of yellow light emanating from his body; these photos are now preserved at the temple.
